But both Meg Stapleton and Coates himself admitted that he was trying to push the Palins into something they had no interest in doing, namely entering into an alliance with the Clintons. Actually, that sounds exactly like something Bill would cook up, and I think Coates was/is his messenger boy. Just MHO.
