What Gives? Why Is Homeland Security's Napolitano Giving Swine Flu Briefing? (Video)

I understand that Health and Human Services nominee Kathleen Sebelius is still awaiting confirmation, but why is DHS head Napolitano acting as the point man for the Obama Administration?

She is having a hard enough time keeping up with her job as it is. It just seems a little odd that the woman tapped to protect homeland security is discussing a virus outbreak. Unless...

Could it be that we are not being told the truth about swine flu?

As the virus spreads, more and more people — and even a few virologists — believe H1N1 is a human-engineered pathogen. On April 25, the journalist Wayne Madsen wrote:

Our Mexico City source said a top scientist for the United Nations, who has examined the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Africa, as well as HIV/AIDS victims, concluded that H1N1 possesses certain transmission “vectors” that suggest that new flu strain has been genetically-manufactured as a military biological warfare weapon. The UN expert believes that Ebola, HIV/AIDS, and the current A-H1N1 swine flu virus are biological warfare agents.

Past swine flu outbreaks have been spread from pigs to humans, who then passed the flu on to other humans. However, with A-H1N1, there have been no reported infections of pigs. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), A-H1N1 has gene segments from North American swine, bird and human flu strains and a segment from Eurasian swine flu. Costa Rica, Brazil, and Peru have issued alerts to check all incoming passengers from Mexico at border crossings, airports, and seaports for symptoms of the swine flu.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has instituted “passive surveillance” of travelers entering the country.

Napolitano announced this on Sunday. On Friday the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it was too late to contain the swine flu outbreak in the United States.

Yesterday FOX news was calling John Brennan the director of the CDC. Michael Besser is the interim director of the CDC since January 20th.

Brennan is the man who was running the company that breached passport files of the Candidates during the election and later hired by Obama as an intell advisor.

Seems to me that all of our federal health related agencies have been taken over by intell and security.

I just got a briefing from my housekeeper. She called her relatives in San Luis Podusi (sp?) and the town is shut down by the flu. No one is on the street, no stores, schools, markets, no food. They are burning dead bodies. I am getting really scared.

I see this as an opportunity for them to push socialized health care, at the very least.

The ramifications of an engineered flu outbreak are not pretty.

This leads one to wonder... if the virus is a bioweapon, then it’s spread could NOT be human to human contact, but rather planted in certain locations to make it crop up over a wide area at a time, thus making containment all the harder.

And providing more justification for drastic action by the feds.

I understand that this virus is different but when I think about it being deliberate and man made, I always come up with the same thought, won’t a world wide pandemic come back to bite the responsible group in the butt? If it is world wide, where can they hide? (unless they already have a vaccine)

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I've heard influenza is a ribovirus, i.e. doesn't contain any DNA...

I wonder where your information comes from - the source link doesn't seem to respond for me. Is it someone's opinion? If there is a legitimate basis for suspecting a malign source, it would be great to have some credible intel for it on FR.
