Bio - Cameron Scott is a claustrophobic nature-lover who self-interestedly hopes the planet and the species will survive the mistakes of the industrial age. Moved by Bill McKibben’s view that fossil fuels were a one-time bonanza great party, helluva hangover Cameron sees the next decade as an exciting, if terrifying, opportunity to fundamentally change how society works. As the community manager for SFGreen, he invites people green, blue and red to inspire, inquire, inform and kvetch about the ongoing green revolution.
A former fellow and web editor at Mother Jones and communications manager at Rainforest Action Network, Cameron is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in the S.F. Chronicle, the Texas Observer, AlterNet and Mother Jones. As a native of upstate New York, Cameron wishes there were more lakes closer to San Francisco, but he is thrilled to be in a city where it’s both easy and interesting to live green. (He has also come to appreciate windy beaches.) He lives in the Mission with his dog, Xochi.
That bio is something Cameron Whoever wishes to promote!?!?!
I was embarrassed for him simply to read it!
You’ve been beamed up for a while, Scotty.
