As a diplomatic gesture out of respect to honor the culture of our closest allie along with honoring the precious lives they have spent in the mutual cause of freedom we have defended together around the world.

I understand the need to do it as respect for our British allies, but lets not take it seriously.

I agree we should respect their traditions, but lets not forget our own either.
