In this clip CNN host DL Hughley says the Republican convention "literally looked like Nazi Germany." RNC Chairman Michael Steele responds....."you're right." Not exactly the spirited rejoinder that one might expect from the newly elected RNC chief.
I don't want to be too tough on Mr. Steele here. I don't think he really thinks that DL Hughley is right. Maybe he just isn't that good at thinking on his feet, or, as he said yesterday, doesn't "articulate" well sometimes. If that's the case, perhaps he needs to stay away from snake pits like CNN and stay behind a podium in front of friendly audiences.

I especially liked the complaint that we don’t even care what they think. LOL
Mike Steele needs to quit. I hate saying it, as I supported him in the 2006 elections, but we really do not need this type of “leadership.”
Everybody is entitled to a screw-up here and there. People make mistakes.
However, I will not support him if this sort of stuff happens again.
Give him a month to learn the job. He is used to being liked, not being a real Conservative. He needs to be combative and not care.

Steele went on that show with the intent to pander to the african-american vote. He succeeded. Hughley could have sprayed the words "honky" and "cracker" around all night and Steele would have agreed becuase that's what he was there for.

At some level, if the Dems think “we’re” acting like Nazi Germany, I think it should be viewed as a compliment.
Far too orderly to be an 0bama rally ... the sentiments expressed within are similar, though.
We are lost if if America does not have one real conservative to be the head of our party!
We are not willing to have a pretend one speaking for us. We have enough fake representatives ignoring conservatives already.
When a man has to learn how to pretend to be conservative - how are we better off in the end?
This is similar to a comment, reported in the dumb mag insert in the Sunday papers (I forget the name of it), where COLIN POWELL’S son, Michael, called the Repub convention in Houston a gathering of Nazis (paraphrased). The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree - eh?

I would love to sit down with Hugley and do a point by point comparison of the National Socialists and US political parties and see which mirrors best.

I received a fund raising request from Mr. Steele yesterday. It was a diatribe on how the Republican Party has screwed up everything over the last years and is a disaster and HE is going to fix it with Our Money! Sound Familiar? ZERO could have had Rahm Emanuel write the letter and it would have been nicer! No Mention of how Our Party got Unemployment to unheard of low levels, How We Freed 50 Million People and Won the War in Iraq and have kept Our America free from Terror for Eight Years after the Slaughters during the Clintoon Reign! STEELE sounded exactly like ZERO OBAMA in the letter. What STEELE said about RUSH was no accident or mistake and he still hasn’t APOLOGIZED, and he owes US an apology for agreeing with that Pervert that called Us a Party of Nazi’s! STEELE is proving to be Disgusting!
