DAILY KOS-Freepers Cross Threshold:Call for Violence
TCRLAF | 3-3-09 | TCRLAF

Posted on 03/02/2009 11:59:45 PM PST by tcrlaf

The number 1 recc'd Diary at Daily KOS (Lamestream media chat site) is an article about our responses to Obama's release of Secret documents pertaining to the War today, under the title above. (I refuse to give KOS the hits by linking, it's on the front page if you want to read it.)

Given how KOS diaries seem to magicly end up as MSM pundit talking points within hours, I think we better be informed of this.

It goes on like this:

"As an attorney who spent her formative practice years defending the Constitution, all I can say about what I have read thus far is this: those "legal" memos make me ill.

As an American who wants to know what her government is doing (and has done), all I can say is: Thank you, President Obama and Attorney General Holder for bringing these disgraceful documents to the light of day.

Republican leaders: You have a duty to stop this. Sen. McConnell, Rep. Boehner, RNC Chairman Steele: Denounce this. Seriously.

noweasels's diary :: :: And, also as an American, I feel honor bound to bring to a wider audience the disgusting, hateful and dangerous reaction to the the release of those memos memorialized (if one can use such a benign word) today at Free Republic.

Yes, it’s Free Republic. And yes, it is likely that most of those posting there are arm-chair warriors, bloviating from whatever small bunkers they inhabit, while waving Confederate flags and cheering Rush Limbaugh; but, even for Free Republic, the comments I read today in response to our Attorney General’s decision to release memos that were themselves recanted by the Bush Administration, were beyond horrifying. And, in their own way, dangerous."

They go on to quote several of the posts on KOS. Especially siting THIS ONE:

"please, someone get this trojan virus in the crosshairs, and soon."

IMO, NONE of the comments sited on KOS constitute a "Call to Violence", but take note of the following:

-"weasels, I've forwarded your diary to my cousin in the FBI. he's a solid dude and will do the right thing. thanks for bringing this to our attention."

-"I hope the Sercret Service has agents reading these posts"

-"FreeRepubli is hard core kkk...These punks are the ones who will show up with a burning cross at night with hoods. DON'T FEAR THEM,DEFEAT IS THE ANSWER!!"

-"These people are spewing the same fundamentalist garbage they hate Muslims for. They have become their own jihadists. They are a danger to the Union and need to be called into account."

As for the Author, this is her/he/it's description of itself dated Nov 2,2008:

"I am very fortunate to live with my 78-year-old Mom. We’ve lived together since 2000, when my beloved Dad (her beloved husband of 49 years) died very suddenly and I got divorced"

I make no judgements of he/she/it, I'll leave that to you!

Remember folks, we are dealing with a HYPER-PARTISAN atmosphere, and things you say COULD get you in to trouble in the New Socialist States of America.

I have personally testified at the trial of one moronic lib who made threats against Bush, and gave a deposition for another. The Feds take internet threats VERY seriously, and WE don't want to end up marginalized by the media, as DU has been.

As a side note, this is thier opinion of us, AND JIM...

"I've met some of those freepers back in 2001 and '02 out on the streets. There's three or four of them who would come out as counter-protesters.

The three I saw are not people I would ever fear, which included the owner of Free Republic. They were always posting about how many people they were going to get out to the streets online. But when the day arrived, it was always just the same three goofy people.

The response in general from passersby to these clowns was avoidance rather than engagement."

Consider this an "US wathing THEM watching US!" thread!

I can’t do anything but smile, because they can’t understand how we think.

"They are a danger to the Union and need to be called into account."

It's pretty funny how KOSholes, for all their whining about 'HUAC', turn into raging McCarthyites at the drop of a hat.

I consider any “violent” post by sign-ups from 2008 and 2009 to be the work of agent provocateurs and trolls.

It is not the Right that should be on the defensive but as usual it is.

I’ve wanted a bunker for years, years!
With a Berm too.
Amazing, the vitriol spewed over the last eight years
is suddenly as nothing...
Well, of course, it’s different when they do it, that’s
patriotic .

What sad, small minded people. I have never been to the KOS site, just never bothered. I guess I’ll have to now, and get their hackles up.

I used to do that to the DUmmies, but they just don’t understand what I post, no fun.

“consider any “violent” post by sign-ups from 2008 and 2009 to be the work of agent provocateurs and trolls.”

That was my thoughts as well....
Trolls have been trying to make us look bad lately, and they have been as active now as they were during the Campaign.

Remember something, folks...
We are dealing, in many cases, with PAID TROLLS from Democrat orgs, who are expected to make several blg posts, and as many as 100 message board posts a day.

I used to laugh at the phrase “Liberalism is a mental disorder”, but it is painfully obvious that it is in fact the truth. To think that we have people in the executive, and legislative branches, and damn near a majority in the judicial branch is frightening.

Is burning an effigy of a white man that looks like Bush a hate crime?

Watch what you say and how you say it for a while over there. They use a point-system to dermine banning, and length of time as a member is a big part of it.

I’ve had a fairly active ID over there for YEARS, and I can get by with tugging the tiger’s tail, (I’ve started some DOOZY hate-wars over there!) while new sign ups get banned fast.

“Is burning an effigy of a white man that looks like Bush a hate crime?”

OF COURSE NOT, silly....
It’s only a crime if you burn a MINORITY figure now!!

I usually tell them that I am a conservative republican, and invite them into a discussion of issues. most of the time it immediately turns into a hate fest, but occasionally, some of them will at least try to have a discussion.

Who knows maybe we’ll eventually convert one to being a moderate! LOL!!!!

“Ohhh please. when Bush was in office those asshats would call for violence every other day.”

But you have to understand, committing crimes while Democrat is no longer a crime in America.

THEY just care so damn much that they sometimes let there emotions run away with them. This was Vikram Bhuddi’s lame trial excuse for making threats against the President, incitement to riot, and 100’s of counts of ID theft and hacking...

The Federal judge didn’t buy it.

We actually have a list of these Trolls, and you shlud know that Jim Rob has a continually updated list in his hands every week. If Jim wants to , he could simply go " Ooooops!" and they would disappear, only to sign up again. So we as Freepers need to simply ignore them.

Which is an exrcise in studious self discipline. I laugh at how many of us take these PAID provocateurs seriously.

Most of them would bugger their own parrot anyway.

I would not encourage any chill on 1st amendment rights here.

And if some Freepers lose their cool, that is not cause for , " We need t civilize that Freeper."

Ignore is best, and bait the rest.

“I would not encourage any chill on 1st amendment rights here.”

The guys that run this website can delete posts and users as they please. It’s not a 1st amendment issue.

“Ignore is best, and bait the rest.”

And then ignore them too? I draw the line at incitement to violence.

Sad to say, FReerepublic is most likely #1 on zero’s list to shut down... THAT, is a call to violence in and of itself!
