Bagel for brains, Eliot Engel wants to ban the importation of military pattern weapons. No doubt a ban on domestic manufacturing to follow.

We suggest you read again and share with others the Kirby Ferris essay..... http://www.jpfo.org/kirby/kirby-coming.htm and encourage everyone you know to show our "2A Today for the USA" film to all they come in contact with to help expose the lunacy of the 'Engleites'. Read the Engel letter ......

Congressman Eliot Engel, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere, wrote a letter signed by 53 Members of Congress urging President Obama to “return to enforcement of the law banning imports of assault weapons

There is no such law. There are provisions of law that *allow* such import restrictions, but it's up to the Executive Branch to determine which, if any, arms are to be banned from import.

That said, Obami probably did not even know he could ban a bunch of weapons with a stroke of his executive order, pen. Now he does and he probably will do it, sooner rather than later. I guess I'll just have to buy American, when the deliveries catch up with the orders that is.

Thanks to all the little socialist dictatorships around the world, we have idiotic calibers like .32 and .380 since the peons aren’t allowed to own anything chambered in “military” calibers (so they ban the oh-so-scary 9mm...prove if there ever was any that the only point is disarmament).

The really stupid thing is that, except for heavy-duty stuff and a few purpose-built ones, there really aren’t many “military” weapons.

The military generally looks at the civilian market and adopts whatever has proven itself for the past several decades. That way they have a proven winner, instead of an unknown whose weaknesses they’ll discover through soldiers’ deaths.

Samuel Colt, John Browning, Dan Wesson, Eugene Stoner, Gaston Glock, Ronnie Barrett: All civilian designers as well.

Bad news, Eliot: Of the 300,000,000+ privately owned firearms in the U.S., approx. 140,000,000 are unknown to police, as are approx. 10,000,000,000 rounds of ammunition. Suck on that for a while.

1. The Associated Press conducted an analysis showing that the number of AK variants traced to crime by ATF has increased from 1,140 in 1993 to 8,547 in 2007.

Note, this period covers the era of the Clinton "Assault Weapon Ban". Looks like the ban was less than a ringing success. This fact will of course be lost on the gun grabbers.

2. Two RINOs signed on to this. Remember the names.
Michael N. Castle (R-DE)
Christopher Smith (R-NJ)

3. My congress critter, Jackie Speier didn't sign on to it. I wonder if she is ill or just on a junket?
