They are trying to destroy the Constitution with the threat of a Constitutional Convention. It is being billed as a balanced budget and/or term limits, but there is NOTHING limiting the scope of it. In 1787, they were only supposed to amend the Articles of Confederation, but instead, they tossed it and wrote the Constitution. Worked good for us then, but with the current crop of rulers, I wouldn’t trust them at all.

My limited time in the military puts me in such a quandry with this question.
A friend asked that very question this way... “Would you be willing to commit Treason in order to SAVE YOUR COUNTRY?”
That question was the opening of a short film about “ROBIN HOOD” ... who did JUST THAT.
The military will do what they have always done, salute and execute. Making constitutional decisions in not part of their job description.
I type this with the sink running for white noise (the ears have walls), but myself and many other Americans swore an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC. I hope either he proves he’s legitimate (unlikely) or SCOTUS stops him (unlikely). Thing is, does America care any more?
Could someone send me the text of this? I am serving in Iraq and the link is blocked from here as are numerous others. I can’t go to jihadchat either. It may be only a matter of time until freerepublic is blocked too.

I find it very difficult to believe that this is such a big problem for our military, but it does make sense, in a way.
Obama, the Democratic Party, the media, and the courts have all tried to sweep this issue under the rug. If there is no constitutional issue, it should have been easy to demonstrate that in a convincing manner, but there has been a far greater effort to simply obfuscate.
The effect has been to make me believe that there might be something to the questions that have been raised, when I had been a skeptic on this subject. If I had volunteered to put my life on the line for my country, I would want to be very sure that my Commander in Chief were legitimate.

America needs to learn that Robin Hood and pirates aren’t heroes, they are villains. Both have been glorified by those who want to transform this country. The same ones who glorify pirates and Robin hood vilified our REAL heroes - troops, founding fathers, etc. Once a nation doesn’t have heroes and villains, everything becomes grey. No right and wrong. No one to aspire to or avoid becoming. And this mess we are about to experience is what happens.
My niece is in the Air Force (finance department) They are now required to carry small arms with them when on duty. Started after the election. No explanation just an order. I think its weird, she is a good soldier. If you are wondering, she says no one she serves with has any respect for Barry, they are dreading his coronation.
All members of the Regular Armed Forces swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. All members of the Regular Armed Forces are required to not obey illegal orders. Further, officers of the Regular Armed Forces are Constitutional Officers, confirmed by the Senate and commissioned by the President.
If Obama is President fraudulently, his orders as Commander In Chief would be illegal. If Officers of the Regular Armed Forces are convinced that Obama is not the legitimate President, they are obligated to not obey orders clearly originating from him. Further, those officers' commissions would only be valid if signed by the last legitimate President.
The Armed Forces of the United States are loyal to the Constitution. If the Armed Forces of the United States seriously questioned the legitimacy of the sitting President, they would be crippled.
No, that is the socialist rewrite of the legend of Robin Hood. The original legend had him leading an insurrection against the usurper, to restore the throne to the rightful monarch.
EXCELLENT!!! The Declaration of Independence is exactly what we all need to be reading. It tells us what we need to be saying. If words don’t get the state’s attention, then we will have to shake the tree of liberty a little harder.
Just substitute “Federal Government” for “King George.” We are virtually the same place today as we were 230 years ago. Same circus, different clowns.
