LOL. Trust me, the Italian Communists/"Democratic Party of the Left" are far worse than the Obamacons. The PC Italia, as you probably already know, were the largest single political party, in term of membership, in the post-war era. The Corrupt, er, Christian Democrats and Socialists actually had to form a coalition government in the 1970s to keep the Commies from taking over Italy (although the reds finally succeeded for brief periods in the late 1990s and part of this decade).
Italy is (bleeped) up politically, and succeeds in having the third largest economy in the EU despite itself. Once Silvio Berlusconi goes to his huge mausoleum, things will only get worse.
