....it is not stupidity, Ms. Lang, it is called human nature. There are some, and I would argue, a majority, of Americans who have a welfare mentality. They want something for doing no work....for free, is the normal term.
Their numbers have been steadily rising since the "great society"...when the government really got into the welfare business big time.
There are now millions of second, third, and even fourth generations of people who know nothing else other than going down to the welfare office and picking up a check. They think everybody pays for groceries with a "lone star card" or food stamps. The illegal welfare people of course add to their numbers.
Now that their numbers are big enough they can elect one of their own.
And they did.
The welfare people are going to elect one of their own time after time until the United States of America looks like Zimbabwe. Short of a direct intervention from God, or a total scrapping of "one man, one vote" there will be no way to stop it.
So my chant these days:
Hey, Hey....Ho, ho....
One man, one vote has got to go!

Actually, the way it goes is: “One man, one vote, one time.”
“There are now millions of second, third, and even fourth generations of people who know nothing else other than going down to the welfare office and picking up a check. They think everybody pays for groceries with a “lone star card” or food stamps”.
...I agree with most of what you said except the above. They know FULL WELL that most don’t pay for food with stamps. “Wealth Envy” is what got that sorry SOB elected. Welfare recipients WANT what we have and think that the “annointed mess-iah” will take from us and give to them. That’s their idea of justice, “hope” and “change”.
I personally don’t think their numbers are big enough. If they were, foreign influence in our elections wouldn’t be needed.
