President-elect Barack Obama has made a big mistake that, as usual, the mainstream media has given him a pass on by not making a big deal about it.
Its not his cabinet nominations, which the mainstream media are all gushy about. Its not whether he or any of his staff can be linked to the sale of his Illinois Senate seat by caught red-handed but I didnt do it Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
And it is certainly not who Obama has chosen to pray at his inauguration. Its his inauguration for peace sake!
We cant worry, short-term, about the deficit is what Obama stated two weeks ago on Meet The Press. Deficits dont matter.
Big mistake!

It should be obvious they have elected a dumbass Chicago crook soon enough. Kind of like William Jefferson for President. Wonder where they will get a bus big enough to throw the bodies under.
The media is in lockstep with this type of thinking. There's no "pass" on this. They believe it.
Fred Thompson on the economy:
borrowing and spending is the problem, not the solution.

With all the Clintonistas in the incoming administration, that shouldn’t be a problem - plane crashes, suicides, disappearances, etc. are all effective, and permanent.
You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits dont matter. We won the midterms (congressional elections). This is our due.

The Left has been complaining about Bush increasing the size of the deficit.
Deficits are great. They keep your grandchildren busy paying them back. Heck, any Socialist/Marxist knows that a 98% estate tax would help pay them off.
Ah-supposedly we have to spend to prevent a depression...I don’t think big spending GOP politicians should even talk about this after the last eight years.
