You raise an interesting point. Perhaps there should be a suggested reading list. In my case:
The Holy Bible
“The Prince” and “The Republic”, both by Machiavelli
“Flatland” by Edwin Abbott Abbott
“The Second World War” in 6 Volumes by Churchill
“The Art of War” by Sun Tsu
as well several Freemasonic books of no interest to non-Masons.
That was my intention. Standing on the shoulders of giants is much easier when you know where to find those shoulders.
