McConnell or maybe Saxby Chambliss. I think McConnell is the only one with enough guts.

Linder response: This story has been percolating in the media for a number of months. Unfortunately, unless Senator Obama produces the documentation on his own, at this time, there is no way to verify if he is in fact a natural born citizen of the United States.

On January 8, 2009, both the U.S. Senate and House shall meet for the purpose of counting and certifying the electoral votes. After the vote has been counted, the President of the Senate shall call for objections. It is at this time that Federal officials in both the House and Senate may object to the certification of President-elect Obama by alleging that he fails to meet the Constitutional requirements to serve as President of the United States. Please be assured that I will continue to monitor this issue very carefully, and I will act when appropriate and necessary.

Again, thank you for contacting me. If I can be of further assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to call on me.

Chambliss response: Thank you for contacting me regarding Senator Barack Obama's eligibility to become President. It is good to hear from you.

Article II of the Constitution states that in order to be President, a person must be a natural-born citizen, at least 35 years old, and have resided in the U.S. for at least 14 years. Regardless of the citizenship status of the parents, any person born on U.S. soil is a U.S. citizen.

Senator Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961, which makes him a U.S. citizen and at age 46 he meets the minimum age requirement. He has also resided in the U.S. for at least 14 years. While I do not agree with many of Senator Obama's policy positions, he does meet the Constitutional requirements to be President of the United States .
