you need to climb into a Bible and find a true, Bible believing church. Your understanding of God, who and what He is and how He works in our lives, happens to be WAY off. I don’t say this to insult; it’s actually very common.
Again, thank you for your measured response. Incidentally, what you've said is the same thing many other acquaintances of mine (Jew, Islamic, and Jehovah's Witness, etc.) have said - that I should consult their respective Holy Scriptures. Nowadays, everyone is an apologist for God, and if there were a First Church of Wrigley's, their adherents would undoubtedly likewise advise me to read the list of ingredients on the chewing gum wrappers more closely, and with an open heart, and that I'd find there all the answers I seek.
