Make Gay Marriage a Right...Another Step Toward Socialism

If you think that gay marriage is merely a culture war issue, think about this. The reason that proponents of gay marriage believe that gay marriage is a fundamental right is because without the basic tenets that our country was founded on are violated. The basic tenets are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Proponents of gay marriage believe that not recognizing the gay lifestyle with the monikor of marriage violates a gay person's liberty.

Bookmarked! From the headline I think I know where the author is going on this.

It used to be that people depended much more on families and communities (churches and temples) for their needs, as well as on themselves, of course. When someone was in trouble, people “passed around the hat” for those truly in need, and shunned those that they deemed just lazy or the author of their own misery. I may be oversimplifying but not wildly so.

One could argue that the “entitlement” mentality, by the very name if nothing else, seeks to replace that ethic with the idea of cradle-to-grave welfare provided by the state.

Anything that weakens families and churches would, one could argue, help bring this transformation about, with the state providing all needs and therefore having the most power.

The tax-exempt status of some congregations has already been attacked to combat what has been called “anti-gay intolerance.” I expect a lot more of this.

I think you would enjoy the book, America Alone by Mark Steyn. He makes very much the argument you make and he provides all sorts of statistics, polls, and other evidence that really turns the argument from theoretical to scientific.

In other words, once you are done reading the book, what you are saying won’t merely be right because it makes sense to you, but rather, it will be right because there is scientific evidence backing up your theory.

The fact is that no one was violating the personal liberty of anyone and that the real agenda behind the gay movement is socialism / fascism. It is a movement based not only upon weakening / destroying the family structure but to also weaken / destroy our right to representation.

Where in the Constitution does it say that homosexuality has to be treated as equal to heterosexuality? Nowhere. The Constitution doesn’t mention sexuality at all which in effect means that the federal government has no power to dictate anything in this regard.

Yet the homosexual leftwing wants to have this dictated to the American people from the federal Court. To force everyone to accept that homosexuality is equal to heterosexuality.

The hidden agenda of the ACLU and other groups like them is to in effect replace the word “religion” in the Constitution with the word “sexuality”. These groups run around the country trying to force all religion behind closed doors while at the same time trying to protect any and all types of sexual expression in public no matter how perverse. They seek to create legal precedents to in effect make sexual freedom more protected then religious freedom.

We all hear the term “redistribution of wealth” but add to that the term “redistribution of power” and that will be in effect what the gay agenda will impose. When Joe salesman shows up to work on the day of a big client dinner wearing a dress and proudly claiming that he is coming out of the closet now you will have to be in fear of firing him if the homosexual leftwing gets its way.

The libertarian party principle of the right to association will be completely gone. Discrimination lawsuits will force you to have to conform to state thought and state morality by fear of penalty.
