We have asserted at the TD Blog for months that Barack Obama has known, and has had close associations with –let’s be real, they are FRIENDS – Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, unrepentant leaders of the terrorist group Weather Underground, since at least the 1980s.
We have written several articles about this [see list at end].
Now Steve Diamond of Global Labor and Politics, the leading researcher and authority on the subject, has received confirmation of our assertions. He broke the story Sunday on his blog. Read what Diamond says carefully; pay attention to the words in bold:
"The relationship between the Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate Barack Obama and Bill Ayers, the founder and leader of the now defunct terrorist organization Weather Underground, is deeper and closer than currently understood, according to an individual who has had a senior role in the Obama candidacy that has included direct contact with the candidate.
The source has stated that Obama and Ayers have a direct personal relationship that extends back to the 1980s and that there are now close ties between both Michelle and Barack Obama and Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, also a former leader of the Weather Underground. Global Labor believes the source to be highly credible but has not been able to confirm independently the comments made by the source.
The source has said that either Obama himself or his wife Michelle communicate with Ayers or Dohrn on a regular basis, up to “several times a week,” including discussions about the “vetting” of potential advisors to the campaign as well as potential appointments to staff positions in the new administration should Obama win the presidential race.
The source continues to support the Obama candidacy but has expressed serious concern about the influence of what is known in the campaign as the “Ayers camp” on the candidate."
Although this new information is highly disturbing, it’s not shocking to me. We have believed all along that the Obamas were close friends with this couple.
If Diamond’s source is accurate, this of course means not only that Obama has blatantly lied about the extent of his relationship with Ayers and Dohrn, but that domestic terrorists with a revolutionary agenda are advising Barack Obama, who may become President-Elect tomorrow. Diamond reminds us:
"Ayers and Dohrn continue today to advocate an authoritarian political agenda based on their view of America as a congenitally racist country. A book they plan to publish early next year is called Race Course Against White Supremacy. They travel regularly to Venezuela where Ayers has expressed strong support for the authoritarian regime of Hugo Chavez."
A day late and a dollar short on this one. Hopefully McCain is going to slide across the finish line anyway, but not enough time for this to matter much.
Why does that not surprise me?

It’s very clear that Ayers is the mentor and Obama the protege. A bell went off when Obama scoffed at being descruved as a *secret communist*..... which can only mean he is a proud communist!
When asked about their relationship Obama said “I don’t exchange ideas ‘from’ him”.
That is known as a ‘tell’.
I got a "source" that is very high up in the McCain campaign that says he eats a kitten for breakfast EVERY day.
Now lemme go find a blog that will back up the claim.

I was sweeping my living room carpet with a broom while watching TV when Sen. Robert Kennedy was assassinated. I fell to my knees crying. I will never forget what I was doing at that moment. And just thinking that obama is friends with Ayers,knowing that Ayers dedicated his book to Sen. Kennedy’s assassin makes me sick to my stomach.
It has all been orchestrated. What now?
I think I was 17 at the time. It struck so hard because of President Kennedy's assassination. It was like, no! God not another one. I remember we were studying science in our class when it came over our loud speaker that President Kennedy had been shot.
You just never forget where you were and what you were doing when something like that happens.
I wasn't political back then but I must have been a budding conservative. Because I didn't have two pennies to rub together but I learned real quick how to stretch them a mile. LOL
