McCain's New Ayers Ad Goes For The Jugular
The Patriot Room ^ | October 9, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Posted on 10/09/2008 5:30:42 AM PDT by Bill Dupray

Not sure why the McCain camp said yesterday that Ayers and Wright were off the table. This is ad shows that Ayers, at least, is very much on the table, and the legs are starting to give way. Jeremiah Wright is an even juicier target given Obama's longstanding membership at the church. Expect the Wright ads in about a week. For now, this does a pretty good job packing in all the Obama-loves-terrorists facts in in 90 seconds.

I wonder if McCain knows yet that Ayers proudly wears a ring made from a shot-down USAF plane, a gift of gratitude for his work inside the USA from the communist regime in Viet Nam?

I wonder if Obama had to kiss that ring at their house meeting/career launch?

Why is it that McCain will happily run these ads that few people will ever see, but when he has 50 or 60 million people watching during the debates he refuses to bring it up?

Maverick, at the next debate go all in or go home.

I think its more of a face slap. Now McCain will have to ‘say it to his face’.

I think a more devastating ad uses the words of Murtaugh whose house was bombed by the weather underground. He says “obama is the friend of a person who tried to kill my family”. Those words are haunting.

But...But Ayers is a respected professor! Doesn’t matter if Obama tried to cover up his friendship with him!!!/s

I didn’t think that debate really offered him a good chance. I thought it originally would but the questions never set McCain up to do so.

McCain needs this kind of attack:

“Where are Obama’s college transcripts and writings, that we might evaluate his formative years?”

“Where are Obamas’s executive qualifications, given that he gained office unopposed, and has initiated no meaningful legislation?”

“Should we place more confidence in his liberal voting record of raising taxes and undermining national defense, or should we believe his pandering campaign rhetoric?”

“Not a record to be trusted in these challenging times!”

Why is this a web ad only? Oh...almost forgot, the Obama Nazis will threaten anyone who runs it nationally.

And yet he was accused but the Dems of not answering the questions he was asked. So, big deal, he needs to work it in anyway.

McCain needs to point out that he didn’t know Keating was a scumbag when they first met; he was found out AFTER the relationship with McCain began.

I’m sure Barry knew about Billy the Bomber long before he was sitting in the State Assembly.

Barry can forgive a man for anything but being conservative, lucky for Ayers he’s a ‘rat.

It’s a web ad because the McCain campaign is trying to focus group it’s effectiveness.

Expect the Wright ads in about a week.

They better get on the ball. The polls open in N.C. next Thursday. Most campaigns erroneously assume that everyone goes to the polls on Election Day.

I am glad that the time has finally come to put up these ads!

Think about it. If this was done in the summer - or even a few weeks ago - by now it would have been forgotten and swept away as "old news...we already did that" - The timing here is good. Americans have a fast-food mentality.

Now the key is to continue to hit Zer0bama on one thing after another - every couple days, right up until the polls open.

I am getting more encouraged.

This is not just a web ad but a 90-second tv ad that get airtime in many markets.

Where are Obama’s college transcripts and writings, that we might evaluate his formative years?”

And where are the records from the Chicago Anenburg Callenge. I read that there are some 93 files locked away in the Richard Daily library at UIC and nobody is allowd to view them.

I was watching Hannity and Colms the other day and Colmes and Lanny Davis attacked one of the republican commentators asking him to name specifically what radical ideas were promoted by Obama and Ayers in Chicago Schools. The republican commentators could not answer the question and looked pretty stupid. But that is because all of the records have been sequestured by the liberals at UIC. This whole thing stinks. The next shoe to drop will be the ties to Odinga in Kenya. If obama loses, we can expect riots just like they had in Kenya after Odinga lost. It is the way Communist operate.

I am aware of that. But it will still be very unlikely to get the kind of reach that derives from discussing it in the debate. Bring it up in the debate and even the MSM will talk about it--couched in terms of outrage, of course, but talked about nonetheless.

The gloves need to come off. Is McCain afraid of losing the Black vote? That boat sailed back before Bill the Bomber Ayers was terrorizing people in the 60's or before. Obama just made 105% voter turnout in urban centers appear potentially legitimate to the MSM. We're screwed. All the absentee ballots just free up time for more illegal voting. Where the hell is Galt's Gulch?

This issue should be tied in with another one McCain has not used, to my knowledge: Crime and obama’s very soft on crime voting record in the state senate. Imagine the kind of criminal coddling judges he would appoint. If this comes up in the debate I hope McCain does not just go with the usual GOP line of “I want judges who interpret law.” Not good enough. He has to slam the other guy for appointing hard line lefties who will seek to harm our way of life, just as Clinton and Carter did.

-"Why is this a web ad only? "

Good point! I saw the entire ad on Fox this morning, and I thought it was a devestating ad on NOBAMA, ready to run in all battleground states. But then I saw it was depicted as a "web ad" and I thought, geezz only a few thousand will see this - not a few million.

McCain campaign SHOULD GO NUCLEAR on Hussein, NOW! The country will be much better for it.

This "Ayers" business is a serious charge (and a true one), but if they're going to be half-coy about it by not going TV with it, then it will deminish it's 'credible' angle because it will show some reticence in taking the message directly to the public.

Wasn’t there a post that intimated that Ayers lived two blocks from Obama when Obama went to Columbia? It would seem that Obama has been aware and possibly friends with and maybe best buddies with Ayers ever since 1981-82.

WE NEED TO LOCATE SOMEONE WHO LIVED IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD IN THOSE YEARS.

Where are all the Students and Classmates and Professors who taught at Columbia and Harvard and had Obama (maybe he went by Soetoro?) in their classes?

Maybe we’re asking the wrong questions. Whoever’s got the access, check for a Barry Soetoro at Occidental and Columbia and Harvard.

Theory: Maybe McCain has been waiting for the last debate to nail the socialist bastard to the wall for good, so Obama wouldn’t have another one so his clowns can come up with some good lines for him to counter.

McCain has been waiting for the last debate

Let's hope. Because if he isn't going to do that then perhaps he doesn't think it is that important or that the election is that important. Or perhaps Obama is right and John McCain just doesn't get it. Either way, I am deeply concerned about the outcome.
