Ha, ha, ha.
In that same vein, here’s Messiah’s Take on the Financial Crisis:
Messiah on How Serious is the Financial Markets Problem?
I wanted to have a chance to talk to you, because obviously this
is a moment of great uncertainty in America.
As I mentioned at the rally today, the era of greed and
irresponsibility on Wall Street and in Washington has led us to a
financial crisis as serious as any weve faced since the Great
Depression.
Every American has a stake in solving this crisis and saving our
financial system from collapse, because if we dont act soon, then
peoples jobs, peoples savings, the economic security of millions of
Americans will be put at risk.
So the clock is ticking. We have to act swiftly, but we have to
also get it right. And that means everyone, Republicans and
Democrats, the White House and Congress, need to work together to come
up with a solution that protects American taxpayers and our economy
without rewarding those whose greed helped bring us to this point.
Messiah on Whether the Debate Should be Postponed
I believe that we should continue to have the debate. I
think that it makes sense for us to present ourselves before the
American people, to talk about the nature of the problems that were
having in our financial system, to talk about how it relates to our
global standing in the world, what implications it has for our
national security, how it relates to critical questions, like the war
in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Lets solve this problem. Lets assist the administration in
getting it right. And then lets make sure that we continue to
present to the American people our ideas for how were going to
restore the economy, not just in the short term, but also in the long
term, so it works for Main Street and not just Wall Street.
“I’ve told the leadership in Congress is that if I can be helpful then I am prepared to be anywhere at anytime.
Translation of the Top Two Statements:
I cant be bothered with the problems of the country; my most important priority is to win the election. Election first, country second
Id rather play with myself in Florida, then do the real work I am paid by the American taxpayers to do as Senator.
Top 5 Reasons Why Messiah Wouldnt Work to Solve Financial Crisis and Postpone Debate
· 1. Tactically not convenient for him because he wants the economic issues to be debated AFTER foreign policy, since he knows McCain will kick his ass in the foreign policy debate, and he wants the economic issues to be the last thing the voters think of before they go to the polls.
2. He doesnt want to look like he followed, when McCain asked him to do something for the good of the country.
3. The election is more important to him than the economy. In fact, its better for him for the economy to tank, so he can blame those Rascally Republicans for screwing things up.
4. He wants to avoid having to vote Present again, when asked to vote on the Bailout Plan, so he doesnt have to take a real position on it, and at the same time, be able to criticize McCains vote, whatever it is.
5. Selfish, selfish, selfish.
Sweet
You should change the last sentence to say “....I’ll get back to you when I’m in office in 40 days” since Obama seems to think that’s when the new president takes over.
At which point, anything he could do about the current problem will be completely irrelevant.
