Catholic 527 Ad Criticizing McCain

A pro-life Catholic group called Catholics United will begin running a cable television ad in Catholic sections of Cleveland, Youngstown and Dayton on Friday that criticizes Sen. John McCain's support for the Iraq war and his August 2007 vote against a bill to provide health care for uninsured children.

"Senator McCain, when will you start defending all human life, without exception?" asks the woman in the ad, who identifies herself as a pro-life mother of three children. The Cleveland-area ads will run for a week on the CNN, Fox News, Headline News, Home & Garden and AMC networks. The ads will also run in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

I saw this ad on Fox last night. Having been raised Catholic and having attended Catholic school (including college), this just confirms for me that the Benedictine Sisters and the Sisters of Mercy (amongst other groups) are the biggest bunch of hypocrites I've ever encountered. They scream and demonstrate when convicted killers are being put to death, but when asked why they support a political party that supports killing the unborn innocent, their silence is deafening. I realize that this is a 527, but this is a disgrace to the church.

Same here. They are saying that Obama, a proponent of all abortions and infanticide for any who survive a botched abortion, is a better choice than McCain. On the war issue, Obama has supported most of the funding bills for the war, doesn’t this make him complicit? I had the Sisters of no Mercy, they should stick to teaching.

The Catholic Church is split between the leftist commie wing and conservative spiritual wing. In almost any congregation you find the social leftist that want a world tax on the rich to serve the poor, and conservative spiritual Catholics that preach their version of the Scriptures. It's not the same as the other version. The best example is found with Father Phlager(sp)from Obama's church.

You can find these Catholics all over the Earth starting revolutions and getting mixed up in local politics. If you hear about some nuns being raped and executed or a priest or two being beheaded, look closer before figuring the murderers are just anti Catholic. They may be fixing a security problem with arm sales and spying for the enemy. These Catholics,( usually Jesuit's), figure Jesus was a revolutionary that came to overthrow Rome,( pretty much the way Judas thought). These Catholics speak "pro life", as long as it's the ones they want to live. Otherwise, it's OK to kill them.
