Staying at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City in The DC area and found that the hotel does not Carry the Fox News Channel anymore. Talk about bias by a first class Hotel!

The Carry MSNBC,CNN and 4 or 5 middle eastern chanels and Al Jezeera. Having stayed at this hotels over the years I find them to no longer being Fair and Balanced. Yes! I did leave a message for the Manager about my disapointment.

I’ve noticed something similar. When staying at Hilton Hotels, they only have CNN on in the lobbies and bars and won’t change to Fox. I’ve asked.

The Hilton Hotels include the following:

Hampton Inn
Doubletree
Embassy Suites
Homewood Suites
Conrad
Anything with Hilton in the name

Further, I’ve noticed that CNN and MSNBC are at the front of the cable lineups and Fox is near the end.

Why do all airports have CNN on and not Fox? Why not both?

I also had that Happen at the Sheraton Westport Plaza hotel in St. Louis. I am not shy about telling them how I feel. Starwood always does an email survey and I tell them loud and clear how I feel.

I was in Tucson last week, first night in a Radisson. No Fox News so I checked out and went to a Marriott which did.

Back in the early days of Fox News, I made a habit of telling managers that I would not stay in their hotels again unless they carried Fox News. They looked at me like I had a hole in my head, but others did the same, and Fox News is now on most, except for those few luggerheads who only carry the networks, PBS, ESPN, and CNN. I don’t stay in those hotels.

CNN pays hotel chains to have CNN be the default channel when you turn the set on. Don’t stay at those hotels either.

In the United States, news is like dining. Eating in a good restaurant costs money, dumpster diving is free. I imagine these cheap bastards just don’t want to have to pay for FOX.

The first question I ask before making a reservation anywhere, is, “do you carry FNC?” If the answer is “no”, I tell them that I won’t be staying there until they do. That has been my habit since 1998.

Great Steak house in the lobby as well.

How enlightened of them. /sarc

Well if the Fairness Doctrine gets ramrodded through again, they’ll have to carry it. /semi-sarc

Don’t go into the bars.

In the lobbies, I change it to FOX myself. If I get any comments from the staff, I just flash my Diamond Level rewards card.

Why do all airports have CNN on and not Fox? Why not both?

Cause CNN bought the TVs and had them installed.

But I have been in an airport where Fox News did the same. Can't recall exactly which one.

Funny thing happened today. The GM of the called me back regarding my voice mail message to him last night. Said he was not aware that it was not available. He stated that he would look into it.

Tonight when I returned to the Hotel it was evident that perhaps McCain might be speding the night here as there was quite a group of security at the hotel and he is speaking in Fairfax, VA in the Morning. But Surprise when I went up to my room and my TV was on and turned to Fox News. Was that an accident to have it on or just a weird incident?

Well if Senator McCain is staying the night its nice to see they restored the FOX NEWS channel at the Ritz.
