There's a fair amount of consensus that the Palin pick was a brilliant stroke, and that the Obama camp is already mishandling their reaction to it.

i am convinced mccain’s team knew this was a grand slam. He set everybody up praising obama during his speech, and then the jab and left hook.

Okay, one of the posts on that blog gave me an idea.
What if there were a grass-roots effort made to convince Democrats to do a write-in campaign in November and put Hillary’s name in there? It would “send a message” to appease the anger of her supporters while siphoning off a sizable number of votes that would have otherwise gone to 0bama.
I caught the use of the zero instead of the letter “O” when you typed Obama.
Cute.
I didn’t put the link to her site up here for the purposes of sabatoge; there are some people who actually are posting intelligently, and ad hominem attacks are curiously absent.
Go there and discuss points intelligently. That’s the effective way to proceed.
