McCain As Good As Obama Was Bad

About that debate last night:

I don't want to get to overheated about what occurred tonight, but I do think McCain had a clear and decisive victory over Obama. It all comes down to something that Phil Bredesen, the Democratic governor of Tennessee recently said about Obama: “Instead of giving big speeches at big stadiums, he needs to give straight-up 10-word answers to people at Wal-Mart about how he would improve their lives.” ... When asked "At what point does a baby get human rights, in your view?," McCain answered "At the moment of conception." Obama's answer here was flaming-dirigible bad:

Whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity is, you know, above my pay grade.

That spectacularly inept metaphor is going to haunt Obama throughout the rest of the campaign. News flash: There's not a job on the planet above the pay grade of the President of the United States.

I wonder if some conservative, pro-life Christians will warm up to McCain after this.

I wonder if some conservative...

Doubt it. It's hard to warm up to a man who clearly does not believe in conservatism.

I swear that's exactly what I thought after B.H.O. made that statement. He So bailed on that question.

I missed nObama last night but I have him Tivoed. McCain was better than I ever could have dreamed he would be. He looked good and sounded GREAT! If he had been asked a question about globull warming and denounced it, his performance would have been near perfect.

[Whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity is, you know, above my pay grade]

Obama has to hide what he really believes, but refusing to answer this question and the elitist manner in which he did it, says everything anyone needs to know about Obama.

I can not stand that man. He sickens me.

Senator Obama should be a Private Citizen instead The Commander in Chief.

I was talking to an old friend of mine who has lived in Seattle for ten or so years and is a democrat I can argue with as friends. He’s already criticizing a McCain presidency. It’s way over and everyone knows it.

Obama was so slippery because he is not sure what the answer should be.

He is still looking for direction, and subconsciously ashamed at his own stances.

Therefor, he is following the path of least resistance while desparately trying not to give a “wrong” answer.

If he screws up an answer, he simply makes up another answer that “clarifies” the one he flubbed.

The Saddleback forum was like an X-ray into the reality of this Presidential race.

The Saddleback forum showed Obama as pandering and slippery, and McCain as (suddenly) more straight forward and direct.

If only the RNC could package the Saddleback debate for TV or the Internet, and play it over and over until November.

Lastly, if you want a good laugh. Check some of the Obama worshiping forums and read their excuses on why Obama was so awful on Saturday night.

They are accusing McCain of having Rick Warren’s questions “an hour” in advance.

“I can not stand that man. He sickens me.”

There are millions of Americans who are with you on that. Let’s just hope there are enough of them to prevent Obambi being elected POTUS.

I watched both candidates -- McCain was right on the money, whatever gaff you noticed or not.

Soetoro-Obama was stuttering again. He is an empty cord/chord without his teleprompter. AND he let it slip that he did see or have knowledge of at least ONE of the questions. Those of you who TiVo'd or taped can find it to report on.

I think God might place
the succesor of SAint Peter,
Pope Benedict XVI,
who is the earthly leader
of God’s eternal and universal Church,
at a higher pay grade
than the President of the young USA.

He stated that he had cheated and studied the answer earlier; could mean he expected that question from this type of format.

I liked McCain’s answer to his worst moral decision; he is accepting responsibility

The ones that Osama doesn't sicken are either the totally clueless, oblivious dolts that are spit (socially promoted) out of our public “education” system, or the few academic elitists that actually believe in the marxist drivel Osama spouts. I'd say the former are the vast majority of his supporters.

No, I didn't. I will watch it later. One interview will not erase years of deconstruction of conservatism. I will always see McCain as a very watered down conservative. Heck, he WANTS to be known as a maverick - defying many aspects of conservatism.
