I have been shopping AAFES for over 44 years and must say that you have to price shop anything that you buy at AAFES, especially from contract vendor shops within AAFES, such as optical. As for electronics, computers etc. I don’t even look anymore. You can always beat the AAFES price with online retailers. For electronics, I especially like Newegg.com for their competitive prices and superior customer service. For optical, I have had good results from zennioptical.com, one fourth the price of the AAFES vendor.

Sounds like they don’t really price match. Especially the “gimmick” exclusion...anything could be construed as a gimmick.
