Suede shoes are timeless footwear. For Fall 2008, they are making a triumphal return with metals, trim, and even fringe. What can be more glamorous than a pair of slouchy suede booties and ankle boots?

The toes are pointy, but the others all have too much heel for me. I like the rose on the side of #3; they look the most feminine of the whole lot.

Every time I wore suede in the past I always had to worry about whether I would be near a puddle or if it might rain. Too much trouble.
