This article has a phenomenally bad error. Under the US Constitution, President Bush has no power "to order the State of Texas" to do any particular thing with this or any other criminal matter. Furthermore, this precise issue has been to the US Supreme Court. That Court ruled that under our Constitution, the federal government has no authority over a criminal case in a state.

Any competent reporter would have known about this case. Any honest editor would have insisted that it be included in the current report. I conclude that the Denver Post is both incompetent and dishonest in its reporting.

Are you saying that the Denver Post is [gasp] incompetent? That they are intentionally slanting this story? You’re talking about the MSM now.
