A rep for Olbermann snapped: “Since whatever you’re going to print is an outright lie, you can go ahead and write whatever you want. That’s on the record and applies to all future items you might make up.”

It is not that I do not think the Post would be beyond fudging the truth. But Keith is unbalanced on the air, and there is no doubt trivial and insignificant stuff is the kind of stuff that would send this boy off. Nobody could make this stupid stuff up, and that is what makes it ring true.

Mr. Olberman’s staff has just given the paper permision to print ANYTHING about Keith, true or false, with no penalty of libel. “you can go ahead and write whatever you want. That’s on the record and applies to all future items you might make up.”

This could get GOOD!
