America, We Have A Problem America, We Have A Problem

In the recently concluded presidential campaign, we have ended up with (apparent) nominees Barak (Burp) Hussein Obama on the far left and John McCain on the center left. Both have introduced programs that will cost America a lot of money in tax increases. Many have of have forgotten that the Bush tax cuts will expire in the next two years, effectively increasing taxes by $43 Billion. On top of that, Henry Wexler has his pet Global Warming (hoax) bill that will add approximately $3 TRILLION in new taxes.

On top of gas prices that have temporarily stabilized, the burden on taxpaying Americans that these two initiatives will bring is crushing, to say the least. Wexler's bill is speculative, at best, but the expiration of the Bush tax cuts is a done deal; Congress refused to extend them or make them permanent. Add into the pot the universal health care that Obama wishes to saddle us with along with the cost of other entitlement programs our government is pushing to buy the votes of a MINORITY of citizens, and the burden on the American Taxpayer's wallet will be huge.

If we think things are bad now with the mortgage crisis and the price of gas, just wait. It's about to get worse - MUCH worse!!

Few Americans seem to understand that elections of politicians is a process that involves electing people who are supposed to be OUR employees. Tell the truth - how many of us (if we owned our own companies) would hire someone whose resume stated "I'm LESS dangerous than the OTHER candidate!" And, yet, we gleefully sally forth to promote this candidate over that candidate because he/she is the LESSER of the two evils.

The American system of government is supposed to be about choice; about freedom; and about a way of life that has been the beacon of freedom and the entreprenuerial spirit that has made America the leader of the free world. Free - let's think about that word. Right now, if all of the laws in America currently active on the books today were enforced, we would be the most oppressed nation on earth. We have a Congress that passes "laws" to make it look like they are earning their inflated salaries. They conduct hearings to justify their positions as elected representatives of the American people.

Allow me to be candid - most of our elected representatives are 3rd rate hacks who can't survive in the private sector, so they suckle at the teat of government to give them power and sustenance at OUR expense. Individually, they don't amount to a pimple on a gnat's behind but, collectively, they have voted themselves into positions as American political elites. This is NOT what the Founding Fathers envisioned.

This November, we will, again, walk into a voting booth and select either candidate A or candidate B. Frankly, between the two of them, I don't have a dog in this hunt. Both of the presumptive nominees represent the greater of the two evils. The lesser choice didn't survive the primaries.

Due to the lack of action by the political elites, the current price of gas will not only go higher, in the long term, it represents an unmandated tax that affects every aspect of our daily lives. With the Bush tax cuts set to expire and the additional impact on our wallets and bank balances, we are in very deep trouble. Our Congress is filled with carefree ne'er-do-wells whose lack of patriotism and lack of concern for ordinary Americans is distressing.

In 1960, President John F. Kennedy told us "Ask not what America can do for you, ask what you can do for America!" In the 1860s, President Abraham Lincoln described America as a government "of the people, by the people and for the people." How far we have come from those times. Today, our government is irrevocably broken and on a path of destruction that will mean the end of the United States of America as we have come to know it.

We have a choice. In November, we can choose between two candidates, neither of whom have America's best interests at heart, or we can close the book on THIS Congress; on THIS government, and start over again as the Founding Fathers intended.

When WE, the people, hire someone to work for us, WE the people, should wag the tail, NOT the dog!! Today, at EVERY level of government, not only does the tail wag the dog, it spits in our faces and dares to call US unpatriotic for not allowing them to destroy our nation quicker. WE have the power; WE have the desire, and WE have the momentum. Shall we allow OUR employees to wreck what Ronald Reagan once described as a "shining city on the hill"?

America isn't just a nation that occupies space on this earth, it is OUR nation. If we don't reclaim OUR nation from the people whose sole agenda is the destruction of America, we may never have the opportunity to snatch victory and salvation from the jaws of defeat and appeasement. As a third rate nation, we may never again bask in the glory of being the earth's major superpower and economic powerhouse - driven by innovation and the spirit that makes America what it is.

What's YOUR choice?

McCain on the center-left?

Is there any organization which has concluded through analysis that McCain’s ideology is “center-left”?

I say that:

We should drill for our own oil

Design and build more nuclear power plants

Build lots of wind farms

We should close and protect our borders

Mandate term limits for every elected government office position

We should also compel MLB (and other sports leagues) to schedule all of their games for the daytime

Working on the rest

America isn't just a nation that occupies space on this earth, it is OUR nation.

America is NOT a nation. Nations have something called borders. Nations which are not islands have borders which are not natural but political. The so-called nation of the United States of America has NO barriers which are NOT natural such as oceans, if it did have any borders which were not natural and political they would defend those borders from ILLEGAL INVASION. The United States of America is not a nation because it has neither the political will nor the leadership to defend those borders which are not natural from ILLEGAL INVASION.

Sorry, I just don’t trust someone who is depending on Democrats to get elected. That says something about his agenda.

Is there anyone with a functioning brain that concludes he is a conservative??!! I’m being generous by suggesting he is center-left.

The cure is to start with Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Compare all powers Congress has currently to those listed in this section. Any power not listed in Article 1 Section 8 should be removed from Congress's power and transferred to the states per Amendment 10:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

No kidding. Sell out after sell out and yet these people still think he’s a conservative. His latest Bush-bashing and support for the global-warming hoax just prove he hasn’t changed his spots and he isn’t going to. I don’t give a darn about ratings, because he can build up his conservative credentials with lots of little votes and then really stab you in the back on the few BIG ones! Anyone who thinks this man is a conservative better think again.

Gee, I guess his constant siding with the liberals, writing Campaign Finance Reform law, writing multiple comprehensive immigration bills that would grant amnesty and citizenship to illegals, and his recent jump to climb aboard the global warming hoax bandwagon must be stuff I made up and I guess I’m wrong.

Somehow, I seem to be missing the high conservative marks based on his record. But, I guess that’s why you corrected me about the ACU and the John Birch Society ratings.

I’m going to go throw up now.

Despite acknowledging before CPAC that he can’t win the election without conservatives, McVain has done NOTHING to try to court our support.

Considering that actions speak louder than words, I have to believe that he doesn’t think our support is really all that important - otherwise he would have done something by now to try to appeal to us.

And, selecting a conservative VP (if he does) to try to appease us won’t cut it.
