10 reasons why Hillary should stay

Over the last month, Hillary Clinton has come under growing pressure to drop out of what is now a bitter fight with Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Those who want her to quit argue that she can't win the nomination without a nasty convention battle, that her prolonged presence in the race hurts Obama's chances in the general election, and that Obama – not Clinton – represents real political change for America.

She'll stay because she has Obama on the ropes and he may make more mistakes, and because of Wright and the potential that there is more feeding to be done at that trough.

A source close to the Wright ministry is also talking. Here's what that source said in the New York Post today:

The source noted that the roots of Wright's disillusionment with Obama began last year after the Illinois senator unexpectedly yanked him from participating in the public announcement of his presidential campaign.

"That's why Jeremiah revealed . . . that he had actually been at the [announcement] hotel and prayed privately with the Obama family before the official declaration," the source told The Post.

"Rev. Wright, as well as other senior members of his church, believe that Obama has betrayed over 20 years of their supposed friendship."

Obama further angered Wright by trying to distance himself from the pastor ever since videos were made public earlier this year of the preacher alleging that America brought 9/11 upon itself and that people should say "God damn America," not "God bless America."

The source added, "After 20 years of loving Barack like he is one of their own, after he was embraced by this congregation as a brother in Christ, after his pastor was a father figure to him and gave him credibility in a city he had not grown up in and in a black community that was suspect of someone from Hawaii and Harvard, he thanks him by not allowing him to speak publicly at his announcement last year?

"A lot of people in the church believe they were there for this man when no one else was, and a lot of people don't believe it any more when Obama claims he loves the man who did so much for him," the source added.
Whole lot of chickens...coming home to roost.

Not the least of which is Obama's character (because Wright is saying that Obama did know about exactly who Wright was and therfore Obama lied to us all)...and also Obama's judgement in this whole matter and in the matter of Ayers, Rezko, etc.

Hey, Jeff. Hillary will be the nominee, that is becoming clear. And in the process will alienate the bloc that has supported her all these years..

She needs to stay because she has a secret deal with Rush Limbaugh to name him as her VP.

I’m not so sure she will be. OBama is still picking up endorsements and is far enough ahead that he may hold on. Either way though, I believe that both of them are going to be so damaged that they will lose large portions of their “coalition”.

#11: for all the talk about how Obama's lead is "insurmountable" and "inevitable", it is statistically insignificant. Close enough for a last-minute change of votes by delegates.

And what is the lead if it was measured by electoral votes? The Democrats allocate delegates based on party count i the states, but that does not come into the actual election.

It seems clear that Obama is on his way down and will lose in the General election. Why not let him win now and take out Hillary once and for all?

We can bring all this stuff to light once Obama has secured the Dem nomination and Hillary is off the scene. Then Obama can take the rest of the Dems down with him.

If we had not been working hard to bring it to light now...to dig and find out about it and then get it in front of people...it may not have come out to the extent it has. As it is, it serves to get them at each others throats and reveal even more. it also sets the precedent for using it in the general. it’s not going away.

If that occurs, there will be democratic bedlam and mayhem...and that would ensure their defeat in November as well IMHO.
