Dems pick Republican candidate; Republicans pick Dem candidate (Is this weird, or what?)

Posted on 03/05/2008 6:53:47 PM PST by Sun

Hillary wins in Ohio - she's the new comeback kid, thanks to all the Republicans who voted for her.

John McCain thanked the Independents and the "Independent Dems," as he put it, for voting for him.

Dems and Independents voted for Senator McCain in the early primary states, which is what gave him momentum, which is why the Republicans now have a liberal Republican.

Rush Limbaugh was saying that the Dems and Independents also voted for McCain in 2000, so this is tit for tat.

But does anyone want this to stop?

Should Republicans pick the Republican candidate, and Dems pick the Dem candidate?

If you think they should, and live in one of the states where you can vote for any candidate, regarless of party, contact your political party, and tell them how you feel.

It doesn’t matter much party members of one party picking either Republican or Democrat candidates since the GOP has moved so far to the Socialist left it is gradually merging with the Socialist Democrats. They are essentially one party.

Unfortunately, on the Dem side we have only two liberals to choose from. There is no conservative we could pick for them. Meanwhile on the GOP side, they picked a lib for us.

Also, it’s not going to matter in the end. Despite their animosity - I predict Obama & Hillary will kiss & make-up and share the ticket. If Obama values his life, he’ll agree to be VP, instead of being on top of the ticket. He’s young & there’s plenty of time for him to be President.

How is the GOP going to beat the first woman/first black ticket?

I don’t think they can.

Well since all candidates are basically the same no loss, OTOH, they got who they wanted on both sides, we got screwed.

Just like the “moral” code we have set up in this country.

They have no intention of beating them...or trying to.

“Even her pals at the MSM are not buying that whopper.”

A lot of her ex-pals seem to be pro-Obama.

Hiilary Clinton ain't no kid. She's been in this for 35 years as she incessantly tells us all the time, sort of like John Kerry serving in Viet Nam all the time.

No, I do not appreciate uninformed voters from a whacked out leftist political party playing games in my presidential primary.

As much as Clinton wants to be on all the ha-ha late night comedy shows, the office of the president and the person elected to sit in the oval office with the sworn duty to protect and defend our borders and Constitution is very serious business and primary election pranks should never be sanctioned by any political party.

The valient sacrifice that many generations of brave and courageous men and women have made so that we remain free should be honored. The right to vote is a very precious and dear duty and should not be made into political bloodsport. Otherwise, I fear, voting will become a sham.

“They are essentially one party.”

But there are many exceptions, like Duncan Hunter.

The thing is, thanks to this cross over voting, the Republicans got the 2nd most liberal presidential candidate, John McCain.

"Is this weird, or what?"

It's "what." Too many domineering old busybodies wish that they were born as boys. ;-)

I won't be corralled into voting for an anti-family (anti-fatherhood--same thing) candidate by another candidate fronted-up to scare us.

Get out of the way, healthier fellow Americans. Hillary's going to clean up those described as the feminists as "good ol' boys" along with their wives who stand by them for business purposes. They really messed up this time.

Otherwise, the various special interest groups (both government, business and ethnic) will be colliding over who will control inexperienced Obama the most. He won't get much done one way or another.

Exactly. It’s so frustrating.
