I'm completely miserable about Fred Thompson's withdrawal from the campaign. Just flat-out depressed.

On top of that, I just can't believe the sort of tacit acceptance we've all had regarding Fred's departure from the race. Not only am I complete flabbergasted that he quit, I'm amazed at how quickly we've resigned ourselves to it. Isn't this the guy we begged for in the first place?

So there you have it... console or inspire.

We no longer have a conservative in the race, and that stinks to high heaven.

They can make it up to me by making sure Fred is a USSC appointee, or VP.
But, I think I would truly enjoy him as Attorney General.
He’s had practice at putting bad guys away. ;o)

I'm not just painting in black. I also have solutions.

As I said on another thread, all of the Scottish Distilleries are in full production as of today. That means that supplies are guaranteed 12 years into the future, so even through 8 years of Hillary and 4 years of the "third term" VP, we can stay soused in the finest style.

It's going to take far more than that for me... something more along the lines of lots of sunshine, and lots of margaritas...
