“Like - OMG! That place was grody to the max! I mean...Totally, gag me with a spoon! I thought we were going to the Galleria! Totalllly.....”

If you’re talking about the damn Dam, the “gag me” part is probably true. Here’s the report I got way back when:

12/17/04 “…What I really need is a huge quantity of socks; laundry is kind of iffy here at the dam, so I need a huge supply that can last a few weeks and then the whole batch can be washed at once. I can wear the same pair of socks multiple days in the row without fear of infection, since my boots stay pretty dry; however, the smell is horrid when I take the boots off at the end of the day, so having a pair of socks for each day or 2 would probably make the room smell less butt-like. …”

As I recall, his room was around the second or third level, LOL!

Awwwww, USMCPOP. I have sent out socks in the past in packages to Soldiers and Marines hoping that would help. Your post makes me realize they probably did. Thanks for that.

One of my favorite dudes that I mailed to ended up buying a washer and dryer for their unit in Iraq to help with the problems they had with laundry.
