We’ve essentially got Chavez lite right now. Hell, they’re trying to take over our nation. While that sounds almost laughable, it really isn’t when you watch our leaders cater to their every desire.
If you watch football games you are very likely to see the advertisement for Madden 08 from EA Sports that is completely in Spanish. This is on the primary broadcast, not the SAP and it really drove the point home. They are inching their way into every corner of our society and making themselves at home.
We are making an irreparable mistake IMO.
If somebody did lose patience and smack him silly, it would be very bad for us. We would have to claim him as an American and stick up for him. UGH!
I'm not so sure about the "sovereign nation" part anymore, and we may have already surrendered, which is why Mexico seems to be certain they have every right to call the shots on this issue.
Anarchy...
We have laws and nobody observes them. Oh excuse me, the citizens are still required to, unless it involves illegal immigration...
Under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations Article 9, a receiving State may “at any time and without having to explain its decision” declare any member of a diplomatic staff persona non grata. A person so declared (”PNG’d” in diplomatic and espionage jargon) is considered unacceptable and is usually recalled to his or her home nation. If not recalled, the receiving State “may refuse to recognize the person concerned as a member of the mission.”
Mexican Preseidente Calderon, 2007
U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.
Thanks for the information, it is amazing what you can learn from other freepers.
Pictures like these should send a cold shiver down the spine of every American. Calderon is set in his determination to export his problems north and our weak kneed representatives are not up to the task of turning them away.
It is a matter of comitment; they are fully comitted to coming here, and our leadership is fully comitted to accomodating them and getting them registered as voters.
So so we sit idly by and let htis run its course, our do we speak up? Sometimes you have to smack him silly in the diplomatic arena to get your point accross.
