In general the ACU’s are a huge imporvement over the old BDU’s, this T-shirt looks to be another huge improvement given the ammount of time we wear body army in today’s modern battlefield.. I can’t wait to get mine...

LOL, glad we can share a laugh my FRiend, I havn’t posted a non-political thread in a while.. I just got this e-mail, and it made my day knowing that we have folks out there that don’t settle for a uniform that is “ok” but are always looking for improvements, adpating our uniform to the condiitions that we fight in. Makes me even more proud to wear the uniform, but even more so just to be an American !

Nope, we didn’t have BDUs until my last few weeks in the Army. We had the old fatigues, as well as khakis. Fatigues were pretty comfortable, I’ll give them that.

I should have made those pics linkable to the high-res versions. If you go to that site I linked, and keep clicking on the pics, you’ll get to the serious high-res versions of those pics (~3.5M).

Do you really want to walk around with a big "shoot here" star in the middle of your chest?

If you are in a “Shoot here” place you’ll have your vest on.

I wouder how long until I see them walking around the mall in the shirts?

Oh yeah! That looks like it would be great! It reminds me of the riding shirts that we wear for dirt bikes!

be careful what you wish for, as you might get it.

when i was a young MP company commander (LONG, LONG ago!!!), i had a female SGT/E-5 named Laura Jo L___________________, who was in a few words, GEORGEOUS & SEDUCTIVE-looking. (think: a 20+YO Catherine Zeta Jones!!!)

not only did she cause any amount of "marital strife" by just BEING there (the company's "ladies" did NOT like her at all & constantly thought that she was "trying to catch" their husbands. fwiw, she was NOT!!!) as a desk sergeant, but it was DIFFICULT to get anything done, with the constant stream of "visitors" ( from E-2 to O-8!) to our PMO.

what i finally did was promote her to Patrol Supervisor, putting her into a MP sedan & OUT of the PMO, so that we could "get some work done". (this turned out to be the BEST move i made as CO, inasmuch as the MPs on third shift would do ANYTHING she wanted without question or hesitation & apprehensions of criminals went UP sharply.)

for those who wonder what happened to SGT L______________, at the conclusion of her enlistment, she married a local realtor & the last i heard through the "MP grapevine", she was still married (SORRY guys!!! ====> chuckle!) with 5-6 kids.

If I am already planning a copy for my 10 year old Grandson how far can CHINA be behind?

Yes, the malls and flea market copies coming to a city near you!

Ah - 3D-JOY

I think you misunderstood me.

I’m in Fayetteville right next to Ft Bragg. I was wondering how long it would take for the inner shirts to become outer shirts and be worn off post, like at the Mall.

Soldiers and 1SGs/CSMs, never shall they see eye to eye on uniform issues.

Yes, I did misunderstand. Underwear is “hanging-out” everywhere in society too. LOL

I guess I just knew how much the kids would want a copy for school. On the “OUTSIDE”!

I can not see the “modesty panel” that is mentioned, in the pictures...maybe it is woven right in...maybe only in the womens design? That would make an extra distribution nightmare. IMHO
