ACLU Unmoved by Jesus' Court Companions
Christian Post via Stop The ACLU Blog ^ | 6-Sep-07 | By Jennifer Riley

Officials in Slidell, LA, have made the reasonable move to add a number of other “great lawgivers” to their courthouse walls in response to an ACLU lawsuit that seeks to remove the 16th-century Russian art depicting Jesus from the court. Of course, the ACLU ludicrously claims that an anonymous person suffered “emotional distress” over the painting which has been at the courthouse since it opened. I guess we can call this the “PMS Clause” of the First Amendment.

More ridiculously (the ACLU never fails to augment its lunacy), the ACLU is actually arguing (read their complaint and see for yourself, paragraph 26) that a Catholic judge (who hung the painting and claims he got it at a flea market with no intent to “establish” any religion), in an area populated almost exclusively by Catholics and Southern Baptists, that the painting was intended to establish Eastern Orthodox Christianity as the official religion of the court. Say wuh?

But they defend muslim religion in public places. It has nothing to do with the Constitution, it is to tear our society apart and destroy everything. These people are using the courts to destroy us, and we are letting them.

They would prefer that in order to reflect their sensibilities regarding the law, paintings in our courts be more like this:

Does this mean that they would intervene for someone (say a 9-11 attack survivor) who made a claim of emotional distress over muslim footbaths in public buildings?

You got it. They don’t give two cents about Jesus or protecting the public.

They are solely about tearing the foundations and traditions of America.

They are about fomenting chaos, discord, and anarchy.

If they don’t believe in Jesus, then how can they possibly be offended by it? So they are not ‘offended’ by 9/11 or pedophilia, but they are offended by a picture of Jesus?

These are some twisted people.

Exactly, the people who make up the ACLU are not some new breed of sincere constitutional scholars. They are the left wing America haters and kooks, the little drips who used to get shoved around whenever they opened their mealy mouths with a bunch of communist nonsense, but now they can get even with everyone because many of the judges are taken from the same leaky faucet.

What the heck is that a picture of? I know it’s supposed to be some kind of torture but can’t tell specifically.

The ACLU wouldn’t know Eastern Orthodoxy if it bit them in the butt.

I suffer “emotional distress” every time I see a mosque.

Can I sue the government for allowing that?

It’s from “Monty Python” “Holy Grail”. It’s not torture, it’s weighing a woman against some item to see if she’s a witch. ;-) I.e., that’s their system of justice - weighing innocence.

It is the witch trial in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The scientific reasoning to determine that she was a witch was as follows:

What do we do with witches? — Burn them
And what else burns? — More witches
Yes, and what else? — Wood
And what happens to wood when you throw it in water? — It floats
And what else floats? — A duck
So, if she weighs the same as a duck, then she must be made of wood, and is therefore a witch.

The accused is in one basket of the scale, and a duck is in the other, and the scale balances; so the crowd is happy that she has been found guilty of being a witch and they can now burn her.

If she weighs as much as a duck, she’s a witch!

The ACLU needs a midnight visit by a mob of pitchforks.

They hate America
They hate Christians
They hate our military
They hate heterosexuals
They hate Republicans

They love EVIL.
