“WTF is a brain-shiver?”
A couple of years ago The crap hit the fan so I started taking Celexa from a friend for a few months to see if it would take me out of my funk. Well the stuff didn’t do crap so I just stopped taking it cold turkey. Big mistake! I imagine what the DUmmie is talking about are these weird sensations like a slight electric current through your skull that comes like a wave then dissapears just as quick. Pretty scary stuff. One pill would make it go away for like a week then it would come back again. Took months to completely go away. I will NEVER take anything that alters my brain chemistry like that again, It was foolish in the first place.
I was taking Antimalarial medication (Meflequine?) due to a deployment. You take it once a week. The floor would suddenly feel like it shifted 90 degrees. After a moment it would settle down. Also; there was a feeling of “turbulence a few hours after taking it, but it didn’t last beyond the rest of the day. At first I thought it was Earth tremors.
Don’t get me started on what people who took Ambien went through!
Why do people want this crap when it’s not absolutely necessary (like to prevent malaria)?
Even though it's for head congestion, it triggered migraines, and altered my mood to the point that I wanted to kill just about anyone and anything that ticked me off. (Not a good thing when you drive a truck for a living).
Took me almost 2 weeks to become "normal" again....
