You have about 5 years to wait - I believe that’s how long the agreement with AT&T lasts.

IF a european version comes out with 3G it will be locked to one supplier also.

Obviously, apple would not put out demonstration units with the less then first rate touchscreens.

why 5 years? The only thing that kept them from incorporating a 3G radio was a power/draw/size trade off. I cant beleieve they wont have that fiexed shortly.

With competitions from other phones that have 3G, and 3G coverage expanding, getting a 3G iPhone launched is the #1 upgrade for iPhone 2.0.
