Mike Nifong to join French Foreign Legion, call himself "Sac d'Engrais" (humor)

Now that Durham prosecutor Mike Nifong has made his name "mud" (actually, a French term for excrement comes to mind) not only in Durham North Carolina but throughout the entire country, there is only one career option that may remain open to him. This assumes, however, that he can pass himself off as younger than forty and lose some of his excess weight.

"The Legionnaire's Thoughts" (http://www.ambafrance-us.org/atoz/legion/thought.asp) shows why this could indeed be a perfect career move for a prosecutor who has been credibly alleged to have withheld exculpatory DNA evidence while nifonging three innocent men for personal political gain.

=======================
The Legionnaire is a volunteer.

Most often, he has come to the Legion to escape from his past.

Generally, he has joined because of a personal or family crisis or an upheaval in his social or political life. ...For others, those who are unable to deal with the limitations of a middle-class life, the Legion represents a life of adventure.

Once he has joined, under an assumed name if he wishes, the legionnaire enjoys an unequaled protection for as long as he serves, because of the anonymity rule. Only he can decide when to break it.

We recommend "Sac d'Engrais" as a perfect nom de guerre for Mike Nifong, so he can enlist as "Legionnaire Sac d'Engrais." If his new career is successful, he will later be addressed as "Caporal Sac d'Engrais" and, upon retirement and achievement of French citizenship, "Monsieur Sac d'Engrais." As matters now stand, "Sac d'Engrais" is less odious than "Nifong."
