El gran salseron,

The Moors, ( Arab Muslims, ) occupied Spain for 600 years. It is not a surprise that they lean toward totalitarianism.

Arabs did not occupy Germany or Russia, and their leftist totalitarism is what conceived 3/11.

spanalot,

This is getting worse and worse.

You don't know how much! I can only translate some of what is published. But the Truth will make us free.

The most frightening question is that we are getting some signs regarding what Frank Gaffney Jr. told 18 months ago in his article Spain's "Terrorgate"? Investigating 3/11:

But what if the perpetrators were neither Islamofacists, as the winning socialists immediately asserted, nor the Basque terrorist organization known as ETA, as the government of José Maria Aznar initially (and fatally) assumed?.

The theory of 3/11 carried out by far left extremists related to the Spanish secret services is gaining momentum. I don't know from where Gaffney Jr, got this data, when the Spanish left was saying it was Al Qaeda and the Spanish Right was thinking it was ETA. I guess secret services and foreign departments know it all.

Lexinom,

This is what the people of Spain asked for, per the elections following 3/11, no?

Truly? No. They were thinking in some kind of González government. González was a Socialist president that was in office for fourteen years, joined the European Union and sent troops to the First Gulf War. They were expecting that kind of moderate Socialism. Businessmen were also expecting that.

Spaniards are not politically mature enough to predict what was going to happen. They simply could not imagine it. Take into account that Spain has been a democracy only for 30 years, and in those 30 years neither the government nor the oligarchs, owners of most of the Spanish business, were interesting in promoting a deep knowledge of Civil Rights or Democracy among the population.

Spain is still socially and politically a country deep influenced by Francoism and there are many powerful people interested in keeping that so, it seems that even killing people in the process.

Of course, people interested in Freedom and not in the Welfare State, or that had studied the history of Nazism, immediately knew that what was going on was an aberration and that cannot end well.
