If Republicans keep the House by one vote, will they finally move to Canada like they've been threatening for 6 years?
To: PJ-Comix
We are really afraid to get our hopes up about November aren't we? Psst . . . Rove is on the move. Pass it on.

They see . . . the end to Social Security, . . . no health care or higher education. . . . I would LOVE to see the end of FEDERAL involvement in retirement pensions (Social Security), health care, and higher education. NONE of those powers have EVER been delegated to the federal government in the Constitution (see the Tenth Amendment). Mandatory wealth-redistribution schemes--programs forcibly taking money from some citizens to give it to other citizens--are forms of involuntary servitude.
Unfortunately, the current crop of Republicans posing as conservatives (in Congress and in the WH) don't have the balls to cut the federal Leviathan back toward anything resembling the Constitution. They are Democrats Lite.
HOWEVER, if you DUmmies think for a MINUTE that I will stay home and NOT vote and thus let the REAL Democrats take over--who would be 50 times WORSE--then you've got a NOVEMBER Surprise waiting for you.
Remember, conservative Republicans don't talk to pollsters--but we do vote.

Yet we all think the repukes will steal this election. So if the Republicans win, it must be a stolen election. Nice way to shield yourself from reality.
Of course, a robust economy, falling gasoline prices, and Bush's aggressiveness in going after terrorists, in contrast to Clinton's IMPOTENCE--none of those things could possibly factor into people actually WANTING to vote for Republicans over Democrats, could they?
