If he thinks that the Bush Administration would do this to rally U.S. support for his administration and/or keep Republicans in power in both houses of Congress he is, IMHO, engaging in fearmongering.

Question is, will the Democrats soon jump on what could be called a fearmongering bandwagon?

Democrats wouldn't engage in fearmongering, would they?

What happened to that military draft the Demonrats promised would be instituted if Bush was elected in 2004?

Gary Hart was one of the worst senators in US history.

OMG. The Democrats weren't engaging in fearmongering then, were they?

They would never do that, right? (sarcasm off).

Won't happen before the election unless the timing becomes, for some reason, entirely not optional. A spike in oil prices to, say, $100 per barrel does not really help republicans anywhere.

If the timing is optional, look for it after November.

Me thinks that he might be the one 'scraped from the bottom of the barrel' to see if this gains any traction.

sanctions will have no affect

Is this the same "Gary Hart" who was a presidential candidate until he was caught on tape with a bimbo? He doesn't know the difference between "affect" and "effect."

Well well well....I haven't heard that gary hart was any where around...

I lived in Denver, Colorado at the time of this jerk's crap he was pulling....running for pres and telling the media, 'catch me if you can' and they did....

I blame that campaign on how the media is today....nosey...

I don't know if hart is still married to his wife then, Lee, but she was a great lady....far to great to be connected to him..

And then the Governor that followed Dick Lamb, was found out to have a mistress of some 12 years or something like that...I believe he is over the school system in California now, at least when I left Colorado I heard that...

It seems that this is the model of the democrat politican...and I know some republican politicans have had their mistresses also, but it seems to run more with the libs...

Personally, after reading this article I wouldn't put a cent on the truth of it...gary hart was a liar in Colorado and he probably is a liar today....believe at your own risk...

Roy Romer was the governor and the last I heard he was superintendant of the Los Angeles County schools-better to ruin East LA than here.

"fear-mongering"

My lib lawyer daughter-in-law firmly believed that after the last election, the Bush admin was going to establish a draft. She and her husband (I'm not making this up) made plans to escape to Canada. The fact that a draft is not in the works does not deter her in the least from believing that the Bush admin has a lot of nasty plans in store waiting to spring on the American public. Libs will believe anything. They're the most gullible people on earth. That's why they're libs.

Thank you...lol...I couldn't remember Romer's name....I could picture him, as I lived in that state for 15 years...

Remember when Dick Lamb came out as Gov. and said that people over 65 should be put to sleep so we didn't have to pay to keep them in old folks homes????

End of his career in politics....

Catch me if you can!

Okay, you're caught.

D'oh!
