What did you mean by that? Maybe I misunderstood?
Seriously, what does happen to the child of a liaison that warrants an honor killing? We have examples from lots of other cultures where such children are shunned. The first example coming to mind is from the M*A*S*H series, with Korean-American children being ostracized much to Hawkeye's disdain (and, quite frankly, mine too). But in a culture where the value of life is nil and killing comes so easily, is there an even worse fate awaiting such children? It may well be that this child will be raised to be a suicide bomber in order to atone for the sin of being born - that is, if they haven't already killed it. I really do wonder why the reporter said nothing and I expect the worst.
