Democrats Play Race Card, Again

The debate over illegal immigration could not conceivably take place without the Democrats playing the race card. Harry Reid did just that with regards to making English the official language of the United States. What she fails to realize, however, is that the Democrats have played the race card so often in recent years that the American people are desensitized to it. The country has come together on the issue of illegal immigration and the momentum will not be stopped by the likes of Dingy Harry.

The Democrats are fond of pointing out that this nation was built by immigrants. The melting pot that is the United States of America makes us unique. The blending of cultures has given a diversity that no other nation can match. What has made it work has been that while immigrants have brought the richness of their culture with them, they have embraced tha American culture as well; ergo the melting pot.

The illegal immigration problem that we face is polar opposite the rich immigrant tradition that built this nation. These people live in the shadows . . .

Why do these lies go unchallenged?

First off it is racist to mandate that only Spanish be added as an additional language for ballots, government forms and road signs. What about all the other languages of the world, why change the rules just for Spanish speaking?

Secondly it is racist to suggest that a path to citizenship allows illegals who are nearly all from Latin America, and includes the provision that they be allowed to stay in the US, obtain drivers license, bank accounts and employment education, health care and social services and for all practical purposeless having the same privileges as a citizen while "waiting in line" to become "a citizen". This is racist since basically Latin Americans are in larger numbers than any culture on the planet whom are being offered this "path to citizenship"

Finally, its a myth to suggest that this country was built by immigrants when immigrants make up less than 5% of all Americans whom have lived and died on American soil. This country was built on the back of hard working Americans!

Open border advocates are being coached by groups like La Raza, whom very name means the race, are backing these lies, when in truth, they are the racists, by pushing full amnesty to the 20 million or so, and the 40 million in extended families, and their anchor babies from only Latin American families and not the rest of the world. Their plans would increase the percentage of immigrants above the 5% level, which this county was built on, and is not how our country was made great or will become better as a result, but just the opposite is true!!!

Well said, I shudder at the estimates I have seen resulting from the Senate proposal.
