Oscar-winner George Clooney may make politically provocative films like "Syriana." But he doesn't write politically provocative blogs.
So imagine his ire when Arianna Huffington used some of his recent answers to political questions in a way that makes it look as if he wrote one for her Huffington Post blog site.

Where is the morality? Is Arianna lying? Is she a bigger liar than Bush? Is she guilty of "deceptive" reporting (blogging?)? Did she decieve her readers? Is she honest? Can we believe her? How many other blogs on HuffPo don't reveal the full truth? Do any of them hide facts from their readers? Do they only tell "one side of the story"?
This is such a gift I'm wondering if maybe there IS a God and He's trying to convince me. :)
Clooney vs. Zsa Zsa Huffington. Gotta love it!
"A publicist who was working on the promotion of Good Night, and Good Luck, emailed back saying, "I will get it to him and get back to you as soon as I hear anything." Three days later, she emailed again, approving, without any changes, what we had sent: "Of course this is fine, Arianna!"
And once we had the approval, that's what we ran: George Clooney's words put into blog form."
Fair is fair, right?

ps I'm sure we could mine some rich statements from the time she tried debating Ann Coulter on Hannity & Colmes.
Anybody have the transcript??
It's a poor blog that uses star names to attract readers. The quality of the ideas should matter more. I mean, it's not like Clooney is an expert source on anything.

The whole reason this is important is that underlying motive was to show that big time celebrities/oscar winners blog on the site.
Clooney may not understand politics, but he understands being used.
That, more than anything, is why he's probably ticked off
So, why not collect a bunch of old quotes from Reagan, Churchill or heck, Karl Mark, put it in 'blog-form' and claim that the site is the only one that actually has famous people coming back just to blog?
that's Karl Marx. (Karl Mark's blogs are boring...)
I just read on Huffpo that conservatives consider golf traps and lakes wetlands when figuring environmental policy. It doesn't matter to their readership if it's true or not. It's there in print and that's good enough. Where have i seen this before?
The liberal press is starting to look and sound like the state run papers in Egypt or Yemen. "Conservatives drink the blood of liberal babies in secret ceremonies." Conservatives have become the equivalent of the Israeli and the liberal and their press army have become the Islamics. The liberals are the rabid fundamentalists ready to glom onto any rumor no matter how silly or insane.
