Yeesh. Reminds me of that other dirty old man, Sumner Redstone.
Yes, when someone claims porn is conservative it is one of the most blatant examples of how the meaning of words has become inverted in this day and age, to serve the interests of Satan. We were warned. And many buy into it.
Why would an atheist care if their kid watched porn or not?
"Why would an atheist care if their kid watched porn or not?"
I beg your pardon. What makes you think that atheists don't care about their children? How bizarre.
Sorry, you missed it.
I would worry more about imparting that "godless" part on them, just in case you are wrong. That influence on the kids from sex would be less trouble than eternal damnation in hell. But hey, I don't really care either way. I just thought it ironic that one could not care about the Creator but worry over Jenna Jameson giving a blowjob.
"I would worry more about imparting that "godless" part on them, just in case you are wrong."
Well, here's the deal. The atheist I know don't care what other people believe, nor do they try to dissuade anyone. My parents are both atheists, yet they sent all of their children, including myself, to Sunday School at the Presbyterian church near our home. Every Sunday.
I asked them about that recently. They're 81 years old now, and are atheists (and Republicans). My mom said that they though it was important for us, as children, to be thoroughly exposed to the dominant religion of this country. She said that we'd make up our own minds when we were old enough to think about it.
She was right. I'm the only atheist among their children. I attended church until I was about 20...every Sunday, and sang in the choir, played piano and did other music at the church.
As a middle-schooler, I got a really nice award for having memorized the the first four chapters of the New Testament.
In fact, I was admitted to Wheaton College, with a strong chance of going into the ministry. But, I decided to become an Electronics Engineer, so I went to another school.
After a couple of more years, I stopped being able to believe in supernatural entities. That doesn't mean that I lack moral values, though. I have the same ones you do, I'm betting.
He has been stroking his porn empire, causing it to rise and grow into a hard-money asset.
To imply that atheists are less moral than those who are religious - and that atheists somehow wish to impose immorality on their childeren - is simply absurd.
Why? What's the point of being moral if there really is nothing bigger in your life than you?
From what I understand, it relates to the simple idea that being a moral person and leading a moral life is much more satisfying to ones self and to humanity, than being an immoral jerk. Do you really believe that without God guiding the way, all people are intrinsically evil or immoral? How would that explain all the immoral yet religious people I know? If you're a Christian, assuming you are from your original post, I would think you'd know better.
Is he going senile or something? I thought he was able to make money without getting his hands dirty, (no pun intended.)
LOL. You sure that wasn't intended?
Maybe just a touch.
I kinda think Jesus wouldn't care for atheists too much. Wasn't much tolerance for much back then.
Personally, that is between them and their maker whatever.
Because it's right. Does your moral code really reduce to "do whatever the authority figure tells you to"?
What makes it right? If the "authority figure" is God, then yes.
The determination that it will make the world better (or at least not worse).
If the "authority figure" is God, then yes.
So the only difference between you and the Islamofascists is the specific book which you assert contains God's instructions? I don't believe that.
