FRANKEN-PUSHY -- No Wonder Fluff Media Doesn't Challenge Him

Remember push polls?

Emerging just before elections, they pretend to desire the opinions of voters. Then, to those foolish enough to remain on the telephone, they proceed to shove political propaganda right down unsuspecting throats.

In a variation, Al Franken has introduced the art of "push interviews", where in theory he's there to be asked questions. Pity the reporter, though, who believes it's anything other than Al's latest manipulation: an overbearing effort to persuade the other party his very line of inquiry is wrong.

If Franken had his facts straight, that would one thing.....................snip...........................

I was one of the two this afternoon. Skank Rhodes says 1)They got the law breaker GWB on the run now and he will be impeached, and 2) 53 ex military are running for Congress in '06 ALL AS DEMONRATS. The "Party of Corruption" should be shaking in their boots - he he. Sooo delusional they are

Can't be soon enough - hope it is before the '06 election. I believe in free speech but when one party buys a radio network and puts "Hate Bush, Impeach Bush" on the air 24/7/365, I would say that is a bit over the top. I think the Repubs should set up a radio network and run their ideology in contrast. And I go over the top when Err Amerika hosts say the Repubs own the am radio dial. Both Micheal Savage and Sean Hannity state they are not Repubs. Dr. Savage many times bashes Bush, but as angry as his show can be, it pales by comparison to Err Amerika with their vitriol and constant "Bush lied and thousands died - Impeach, Impeach".

Speaking as an alumnus of the ultra-liberal Macalester College, I'm quite surprised that one of the Mac Weekly reporters really called Franken on his B.S. Maybe the school is changing, but I have my doubts - everytime I go back there or hear/read about what's going on there, it seems as though the lefties are still out in full force. Whenever I'm on campus, I pick up a copy of the latest Mac Weekly, and it's still usually filled with leftist columns.

Still, the liberals at Mac tend to be of the honest, principled variety (Wellstone types), so maybe it shouldn't be that surprising that they're not just going to give Franken a free pass, which is probably what he was expecting. I'm sure the school's liberal reputation is what made him agree to do the interview in the first place, and then he was shocked when they had real questions for him.
