As a followup to my previous post, I can not imagine anyone (at least any Christian) who would ever utter or print anything even in jest, identifying the evil one with them self. That who "letter" just seriously creeped me out. I mean I got chills and my hair stood on end reading it. The whole thing is sacrilegious.

The whole thing is sacrilegious.

You can't be sacrilegious towards the devil.

Sacrilege is gross irreverence toward something that is sacred to God.

Satan is God's enemy. I don't fear Satan, because I have Jesus Christ. I do heed Christ's warning that Satan wanders the earth like a hungry lion, waiting to devour. However, we know from the book of Job that Satan cannot harm those in God's care without asking permission first.

Satan cannot do anything God does not permit. That is a great comfort.

The bible warns us not to indulge in evil: magic, witchcraft, and the occult are doors to let evil in. I understand your reservations towards making light of something that is so evil, and that is prudent. But Satan is not as powerful as Christ. That is a wonderful thing.

Thanks for your opinion but I totally disagree with you and so do a lot of others.
This letter doesn't make light of Satan at all. Far from it!It is running all across America by religious organizations to show exactly the opposite of what you suggest.
There is a cost to denying Christ and that cost is an eternity with the devil. To deny this is to deny the Bible.
The evil one expects us to remain silent and that is how he is taking over our culture.
You need to read this letter "completely" and not take it out of context before you pass judgement.
Respectfully,
