Jersey City Lesbian + Gay Outreach, Inc (JCLGO) is excited to announce the appearance United States Senator and New Jersey Gubernatorial Candidate Jon S. Corzine at the 5th Annual Jersey City LGBTI Pride Festival, Saturday, August 27, noon 8 pm on the waterfront at Exchange Place. Senator Corzine will address the crowd somewhere between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.
Jersey Citys Pride festival comes at the end of a week-long series of events celebrating the LGBTI Community and is expected to be attended by over 10,000 people from across New Jersey and New York City. We are thrilled that the Senator will be joining us to celebrate the unity and diversity of our community, says JCLGO Executive Director, Walt Boraczek. Our celebration this year, entitled One American Dream is focused on, not what separates us from other communities, but what we, the LGBTI community, share with all people, the dream of Life, Liberty, and Happiness. I have tremendous respect for the Senators record on equality issues and am looking forward to hearing him speak.
