Terrorists Aim to End Western Civilization

Efraim Halevy,the former head of the Mossad, the Israeli secret service, recently resigned as head of the Israel National Security Council and as national security advisor to Prime Minister Sharon. Very few men in this world are as familiar with Islamic jihadists as Halevy.

In the Scotsman today, Halevy discusses the aim of Islamic Terrorism. In the article titled, "Terrorists' aim is to end western civilisation", Halevy says of the London bombings, "There was careful planning, intelligence-gathering, and a sophisticated choice of timing as well as near-perfect execution. We are faced with a deadly and determined adversary who will stop at nothing and will persevere as long as he exists as a fighting terrorist force.

"We are in the throes of a world war, raging over the entire globe, and characterised by the absence of lines of conflict and an easily identifiable enemy. There are sometimes long pauses between one attack and the next, consequently creating the wrong impression that the battle is all over."

Halevy states the objectives of these terrorists:

He said the 'great wars' of the 20th century lasted less than this war, and the end was nowhere in sight.

"The aim of the enemy is not to defeat western civilisation but to destroy its sources of power and existence, and to render it a relic of the past. It does not seek a territorial victory or a regime change; it wants to turn western civilisation into history and will stop at nothing less than that."

"It will show no mercy or compassion and no appreciation for these noble values when practised by us. Unfortunately, it cannot be said that seven years after this war broke out at the embassies in east Africa, we can see its conclusion.

"For a while - too short a while - we are engrossed with the sheer horror of what we have seen and heard, but with the passage of time our memories fade and we return to our daily lives, forgetting that the war is still raging out there and that more strikes are sure to follow.

"In practice, no government today can provide an effective 'suit of protection' for the ordinary citizen. There can be no protection for every bus, every train, every street, every square. In these times the ordinary citizen must be vigilant and must make his personal contribution to the war effort.

"This war is already one of the longest in modern times. As things appear now, it is destined to be part of our daily lives for many years to come - until the enemy is eliminated - as it surely will be."

Halevy who is now a special adviser to Quest, a London-based security and intelligence consultancy, is seen as one of the world's most eminent authorities on terrorism, with extensive security service contacts.

Dennis Prager wrote an article about this a year or more ago.

I think we're in a major war for a long time. The Americna and European governments are going to have to get real serious about killing enough Muslims to make them quit before the Islamofascists get nukes.

The entire West ( dare I say "the civilized World?" ) is locked in a fight to the death with militant Islam.

There will be no second-place winner, no "third way" solution-- it is March or Die time, folks.

It is Us versus an eighth-century "culture" of plunder & pillage, forced religious "conversions," and the mistreatment of women.

The sooner we face up to this fact realistically and quit dancing around PC talking-point nonsense about diversity and tolerance, the better off we'll all be.

We did not pick this fight- which really has roots in Jimmy Carter's appeasement in 1979 of militants- but we had damned well better see it for what it is, and be prepared to face it and finish it.

I'll put it in raw, personal terms-- I don't want Sharia law visited upon my women, and I don't want a goat-roper "culture" infesting my land.

I don't want their vile, nasty, loathsome weapons of mass destruction loosed upon my fair country, either.

They picked the fight, and now it is up to us to finish it- balls to the wall, hammer and anvil, fire and blood and iron... freedom is never, ever free, and the coin you pay it in is men's lives and tears and blood.

What we saw during Gulf War I was our military doctrine ( high tech ) versus Soviet doctrine ( throw a lot of low tech iron at the problem )-- and we all know how that turned out.

What we saw in the 3-Week War is Information-Tech,
( What some are calling it Hyperwarfare... )
or 21st Century warfare versus 20th Century...

What I would suggest, and call your attention to, is the fact that we, and Israel, are capable of waging 21st Century warfare, and the entire Arab world is not.

Proven fact, by recent events.

One more thing- this will be a war where we are all called to be warriors- so I suggest to you that the time has come to get hard, and stay hard... it really is the time for Fire and Blood and Iron...
