Websense is now blocking foxnews.com as an advocacy group. I really don't have any comment about this, except that cnn, msnbc, etc. are not blocked at all except for their sports sections.
I have attached a screenshot.

Access to this web page is restricted at this time.
Reason:
The Websense category "Advocacy Groups" is filtered.
URL:
http://www.foxnews.com/
Sounds like a piss-poor product.
Excuse my ignorance, but what is websense?
I thought it was the net service/company that is running the websense service adds the sites themselves. NOT WEBSENSE the company. Ie the net admin puts in the sites. I have worked at server places that use websense and foxnews can be accessed there was some hubbub over espn and few other sports sites, those were quickly resolved.
Even if it's a web filter per se, it sounds like spyware as well.
I expect the system admin intentionally blocked this site. He/She is probably a liberal. For instance, we use SurfControl at my company and the admin has democraticunderground.com blocked but not freerepublic.com. But then again, I'm the admin.
LOL
HA! Jaxter! My laugh of the day! Thanks.
ROFL!
My company uses Websense also. I just pulled up Foxnews. It depends on the admin. In our case all the cooking sites are blocked, as well E-Bay and most of the photo hosting sites. So I miss a lot of pictures when I am on Free Republic at work.
