There's no explaining it. I think some of it is loyalty to your family's belief system. Most Southerners were infatuated with FDR. His policies really helped the area, ie,TVA, or so they believed. They see the Dems. from another era and think that is what the party is and it no longer is. If you could get them to read Zell Miller's book that would really open their eyes. Of course if they don't like Bush, they probably don't like Zell.

I'd probably get taken out of their will for bringing Zell's book to their house. But you're right, they're remembering the Dem party from years pasted. My dad was a union worker and we didn't have much money when I was growing up. So they're remembering the Dem party that actually WAS for "the people". Now they want to control "the people" through social programs. I've tried to tell them, "I'm a white, middle-aged, Southern, male engineer. What are the Democrats going to do for ME?"

Also, as I said in a post earlier, I wanted to disrupt a bit because they used my cousin's picture in one of their threads and I asked them to remove it. They banned me.

He was a private person with a great sense of humor and a deep sense of patriotism.
Let his parents know that they will be in our prayers. He will not be forgotten, and it's a debt that can never be paid.
Thank you, I certainly will. His mother is having a difficult time, but is a strong woman. Plus, Jeremy came from a family with a long military history. His grandfather was in the Navy and used to give him grief because he went into the Marines after he got out of high school.

Another article blaming Kerry for 9/11. I don't know why anyone who is really a democrat (or an American) would post this trash on this website. This website is another conservative rant site. Look at the links, the ads and the editorials. They are trying to blame 9/11 on Kerry. Why not Ghandi and Roosevelt for that matter. The posters claim that "there is enough blame to go around" is an attempt to defuse the actual fact that George Bush was in charge (technically) when the US Government allowed 9/11 to occur. Kerry did not have access to the PDB, Bush did. The Busk has to stop somewhere. If posters post links from conservative propaganda machines and claim that we should read them as true, they should be banned.
The very people who want God out the public sphere claim that conservatism, which at least nominally accepts and embraces a Supreme Being, have the gall to charge propoganda. They are the ones prone to lie and propagandize, because for them there is no absolute truth, no ultimate consequence for lying, murder, adultery, and other things generally shunned by decent society, and all of which were embodied by their last administration.
This speaks volumes.

Your attempt at constructing a creative post was pitiful. I mean, really, stringing together a bunch of insults among a load of babbling was hardly effective... Maybe later in life, after you have learned to read, write, spell, and count, you will have more success. True, these are rudimentary skills that many of us "normal" people take for granted that everyone has an easy time of mastering. But we sometimes forget that there are "challenged" persons in this world who find these things more difficult.
If I had known, that this was your case then I would have never read your post. It just wouldn't have been "right". Sort of like parking in a handicap space. I wish you the best of luck in the emotional, and social struggles that seem to be placing such a demand on you.

One (well, not just ONE) very interesting aspect of the DUmmies way of arguing, they flamed me for posting an article that they scream is from a "right-wing" website and is therefore unreliable. However they pointed me to left-wing websites as proof of their arguments. Is it me, or is that ironic?
The DUmmies, for the most part, are socialists/marxist, anti-American, and treasonous. The government they espouse has been a model for failure the world over. They are a visible product of government schools.
